Collaborations
Certain artists work well together; most don't. I learn from everyone I meet and am a willing collaborator, eager to experiment with new techniques. Here's to a long life of working together, with whomever.
In our first full-on collaboration, Jonathan Davis (www.locallygrownart.com) and I have created an illuminated pendulum light featuring Jonathan's trumpet shapes and rings of clear an frosted glass. Italian clear ruby glass filled with neon gas and domestic tangerine glass filled with argon gas provide the light source for this one of a kind pendant measuring approximately 7' tall x 30" in width.
Adding neon tubing to Jonathan Davis's glass assemblies is the most gratifying application of illumination. Check out www.locallygrownart.com for more of Jonathan's work.
Resin cast torso with 9mm casings, .38 slugs and more. Backlighted mounting 40" tall, 18" wide, 10" deep. Louis St. Lewis collaboration prototype - first in an ongoing series of torsos cast with iconic imagery.
Louis St. Louis Collaboration - detail.
This collaborative piece is suspended 20' in the air over Jonathan Davis's glass blowing demo area at the Shakori HIlls GrassRoots festival of October 2013.
